Advertising and the Internet

Advertising boosts consumerism by creating desires that didn't exist before. As Gillian Dyer puts it, "today it suffuses the whole system of mass communication" (Advertising as Communication, 1995). You're going to watch a video about how communication has evolved since pre-historic times.     I believe that sooner or later I'll make good use of this.
    For this topic, there are also two good films: "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic" :)
